Audrey in Unst, pt. 2 [25 January 2010 - 18:39] Ugh ugh ugh. I just finished the second sleeve and decided to frog the ribbing on the first sleeve; I had worked it with the 3.75mm needle as per the pattern but, as mentioned in my last post, the gauge on the sleeve was all sorts of messed up. The ribbing was pretty ugly on the first sleeve -- it stood out quite a bit from the rest of the sleeve, and was just generally unattractive. I worked the ribbing on the second sleeve (and the entirety of the sleeve itself) in 3.25mm, and it came out looking much better. Sooo...frogging complete, and live-ish stitches from the first sleeve are back on the needles. That said, I anticipate getting the first sleeve finished sometime tomorrow, then the button band, then the neckline, all within the next few days...I've woven in some ends as I've gone, so that shouldn't be too painful (thank you TECHknitting for being delicious). Blocking will be fun, with no counter space and two evil cats running amok. So basically, I'd like to have this finished by the end of the month. I have faith in myself this time, cause I'm using knitting this baby to procrastinate unpacking from my move! post comment
